Rice Bag Project In Bangladesh
Bangladesh has been experiencing poverty for a very long time, and the majority of the poor face a challenge on a regular basis to provide for their families. It is estimated that 31.5% (109,600,000) of Bangladeshis live below the national poverty line. By handing out one rice bag, a family can have enough to eat for 2 months, allowing them to be stress free from hunger. G&Y has spent over 66,000 so far. Rice bags were distributed to residential institutes where majority of the students are either orphans or from very poor background, this also includes support for family members. The appreciations from the recipients are overwhelming and can be seen from their faces which emanate joy and relief.
We aim to deliver rice bags to different districts in Bangladesh by 2024, including rural areas. This will also include feeding thousands of students in Islamic Institutions and those families are in need of food, and suffering from starvation on a regular basis.

We are unable to feed ourselves and find it difficult to have food on the table regularly. We just about the make ends meet, and so, when GYTF distributed rice bags, we were relieved that we will be able to put food on the table for ourselves and our children for at least a month. We are so grateful for their help and support.

My earnings are very limited. Sometimes I am unable to feed my children. It is only because GYTF and their generous donors that we are now able to enjoy some good quality rice and it’ll be enough for us for the coming months. We make dua that Allah rewards the donors and also GYTF for bringing it to us so that we can feed our families.
